Per Session Vacancy Notice #1101

Eligibility Requirements:

New York City Department of Education licensed Supervisor with extensive programming experience

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum three years satisfactory experience creating successful high school master schedules
  • Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional high school schedule models
  • Expertise in STARS
  • Knowledge of high school graduation requirements
  • Knowledge of state and city academic policy as pertains to high schools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To support STL high schools in creating school schedule
  • To support creation of master schedule for STL high schools including STARS support
  • To troubleshoot and problem solve as STL school develops schedule
  • To assist STL high schools in bringing master schedule to finalized state

Salary:

As per Collective Bargaining Agreement

Work Schedule:

Summer 2018 and School Year 2018-2019; ongoing technical assistance for schools; hours flexible (Approximately 200 hours per position)

Service exceeding the number of hours specified in the Chancellor's Regulation C-175 governing per session activities requires prior approval. The appropriate Per Session Supervisor must make the request via the Per Session Service System and receive approval before the person can begin working in the activity. Failure to obtain a valid waiver may result in the withholding of payment for hours worked beyond the maximum.
