(CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AVAILABILITY)

 

POSITION:                 

TASC Test Supervisors –Assistant Principals (Approximately 5 positions)

 

LOCATION:                

Various sites throughout the five boroughs

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:          

NYC Department of Education licensed and appointed Assistant Principal or Retired NYC Department of Education Assistant Principal

                                                                                                                                                 

SELECTION CRITERIA: 

•              Satisfactory Rating

•              Satisfactory record of attendance and punctuality

•              Preference may be given to current DOE staff previously responsible for administering TASC test

•              Preference will be given to staff who are bilingual, Spanish and English

•              Preferable Prior experience proctoring and/or administering TASC tests

•              Strong communication and organization skills

•              Ability to pay close attention to detail

•              Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

•              Experience in MS Office Suite, Window applications, Internet and email

•              Must have excellent proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing the English language

 

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:            

•              Must attend mandatory training prior to commencement of position

•              Supervise the TASC test administration

•              Ensure that the check in process is organized

•              Troubleshoot all test matters and resolve them in a timely manner

•              Provide oversight so that testing conditions are met on the day(s) of testing

•              Assist in monitoring Examinees during a testing session;

•              Active proctoring by circulating test room

•              Respond to examinee inquiries

•              Provide daily test updates to the testing administrator

•              Maintain test security to ensure confidentiality, integrity of test materials, and test procedures.

•              Maintain a professional and pleasant atmosphere to create an environment for optimal test performance for all examinees

 

WORK SCHEDULE:   

September 9, 2019 – June 24, 2020    3:30PM-7:30 PM or 2 days Saturday 9:00am -3:00pm or (as needed based on volume of testing applicants)

(Approx.400 hrs)

ADDITIONAL HOURS GRANTED UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE HIRING MANAGER.

 

SALARY:                     

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement).  Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
