OPSR Grades 9-14 School Summer Bridge Programs
Approximately 10 positions
Office of Postsecondary Readiness

Also various school locations throughout the five boroughs
NYCDOE Licensed and Appointed School Social Worker. Applicants presently a High School level preferred
Restricted to social workers from OPSR’s NYC P-TECH Grades 9-14 Schools
Knowledge of DOE policies and procedures
Knowledge of high school graduation requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to provide instructional assistance to students, parents, and community representatives
Under the supervision of licensed pedagogical:
Participate in school planning and implementation of academic and skills-building projects that help students to transition into specific phases of the Grades 9-14 program, including incoming 9th graders as well as upper grade students beginning college schedules.
Collaborate with school partners to develop, implement, and assess project- or experiential-based learning activities.
Support and oversee students at off-site events involving partners as well as skills-building activities.
Contribute to OPSR knowledge building on summer bridge design, practices, and evaluation.
Monday through Friday, either outside contracted work hours or between 9:00am-5:00pm; select Saturdays as arranged in advance, between the hours of 9:00am-5:00pm. Hours up to, but not limited to, approximately 85 hours. Additional hours granted upon approval of the hiring manager.
Per Session rates as per the UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement. Contingent Upon Funding Availability. (UFT or relevant Union/Organization).
