Preschool Special Education Office – Preschool Special Education Support Staff (up to 8 positions)
1780 Ocean Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11230
NYCDOE Licensed and Appointed Teachers that have knowledge and/or certifications in preschool special education and a knowledge of the preschool special education provider community in New York City.
Applicants will be selected based on their knowledge of New York City’s standards and goals for preschool special education.
Applicants will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to,
(a) visiting preschool special education programs in order to determine whether they are meeting the needs articulated on student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), (b) reviewing applications by preschool special education programs for supplemental
funding, and (c) other duties.
Weekdays during the summer between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Staff could work fewer than five days per week.
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent Upon Funding Availability.

NOTE: Service exceeding the number of hours specified in Chancellor’s Regulation C-175 governing per session activities requires prior approval. The appropriate Per Session Supervisor must make the request via the Per Session Service System and receive approval before the person can begin working in the activity. Failure to obtain a valid waiver may result in the withholding of payment for hours worked beyond the maximum.
