(CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AVAILABILITY)

POSITION:

NYSED licensed and/or NYC DOE certified administrators to support and supervise professional development related to Career and Technical Education –and/or curriculum development and/or resources and tool kit development.

Approximately 100 positions.

LOCATION:

NYCDOE (52 Chambers Street) and (131 Livingston Street) and offsite location specific meetings as needed

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) appointed and state certified SBL/SDL/SAS/SDA

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Preference will be given to:

Appointed supervisor with at least one year of satisfactory experience

Knowledge of NYCDOE policies and procedures

Participation in NYCDOE CTE professional development related to instruction, curriculum, assessment and program quality

Willingness and availability to attend training meetings after school

Excellent written communication and organizational skills

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in professional development with DOE staff and partners

Participate in training sessions between September 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020

Create, update and collaborate on curricular resources, program documentation related to program approval and tools as part of training series

Implement strategies and activities that are covered as part of training related to improvement of instructional practices

Supervise teachers involved with implementation of academic integration, development of CTE curricular resources and extending CTE to middle schools

WORK SCHEDULE:

September 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020

Days: Monday – Saturday | Hours: Schedule to be determined by the hiring manager

Up to 300 hours, additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager. (Hours contingent upon funding)

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the CSA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
