(CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AVAILABILITY)

 

POSITION:                 

TEACHER - CTE Summer Internship Site Monitor (14 Positions Available)

 

LOCATION:                

131 Livingston Street, Brooklyn NY, 11201 and other Locations throughout the 5 boroughs as required

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:          

New York City Department of Education CTE-Licensed Teacher and/or WBL coordinator certificate

                                                                                                                 

SELECTION CRITERIA: 

Knowledge of NYS Labor Laws for minors

Knowledge of Core Content CDOS Standards and SCANS Skills for Work-Based Learning

Knowledge of DOE policies and procedures

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Work-Based Learning Programs

Familiarity with CTE High School programs

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Willing to accept assignments and travel to work sites throughout the city

Willing and able to use personal computer for daily reports

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Demonstrated ability to provide instructional assistance to students, parents, and community representatives

Familiarity with the Internship Management System (IMS)

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:            

Assigned to one or more borough clusters.

Conduct Internship site visits in assigned borough cluster.

Counsel students regarding job related activities as needed during site visits

Document and Share Site visit reports in a timely fashion.

Communicate with the WBLRC via a personal computer and personal email account on a daily basis

 

WORK SCHEDULE:   

July 1, 2019 – August 30, 2020 (Approximately 10 hours)

(Teachers will work between 50-100 hours each depending upon funding availability and program needs)

 

SALARY:                     

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement).  Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
