(CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AVAILABILITY)

 

POSITION:                 

LGBT Content Developer

(up to 20 Positions)

 

LOCATION:                

Various locations throughout New York City

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:          

•              Licensed and appointed NYCDOE staff member in a Per Session Eligible Title (Including, but not limited to, teacher, guidance counselor, social worker, assistant principal) or current NYC Department of Education paraprofessional or school aide

•              Employed for at least 1 year by the NYC Department of Education                                                                                                                                             

SELECTION CRITERIA: 

•              Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum

•              Broad knowledge of LGBT subject matter

•              Experience engaging in collaborative planning

•              Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:            

•              Attend LGBT content development meetings during Summer 2019

•              Develop lesson plans and curriculum supports for teachers wanting to incorporate LGBT themes into their curriculum and LGBT clubs and organizations in schools

•              Develop best practices guide for teachers wanting to incorporate LGBT themes into their curriculum or start an LGBT club or organization

 

WORK SCHEDULE:   

June through August 2019 (Maximum number of hours: 60)

Successful candidates will be required to work after the school day and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., as needed

HOURS UP TO, BUT NOT LIMITED TO APPROXIMATELY 60 HOURS. ADDITIONAL HOURS GRANTED UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE HIRING MANAGER.

 

SALARY:                     

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement).  Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
