POSITION:                 

Grant/Program Administrator – Office of Safety and Youth Development

Prevention and Intervention

(1 Position)

 

LOCATION:                

Various schools within District 29

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:          

New York City Department of Education licensed and appointed Supervisor with satisfactory ratings for the previous 3 years.  If it is not possible to identify a highly qualified supervisor who is currently employed, retirees meeting the licensing requirements may also be considered.  

                                                                                                                                                 

SELECTION CRITERIA: 

•              Experience administering grant-funded after school/evening programs

•              Experience and knowledge of funding source guidelines

•              Experience in  budgeting and purchasing

•              Experience supervising personnel

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:            

•              Oversees four middle school evening Teen Center sites in District 29

•              Responsible for all purchasing and identifying appropriate vendors

•              Work in collaboration with the Site(s) Supervisor to approve program design and schedules

•              Trip planning and approve student outings

•              Visit Teen Center sites to monitor program status and achievements

•              Recommend and implement program changes as necessary

 

WORK SCHEDULE:   

November 2019 – May 2020

K – 8 & 6 – 9, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm,

No school holidays, (Up to 120 hours)

HOURS UP TO, BUT NOT LIMITED TO APPROXIMATELY 120 HOURS. ADDITIONAL HOURS GRANTED UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE HIRING MANAGER.

 

SALARY:                     

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement).  Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
