POSITION:

Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program (LEAP) Program Manager

 

LOCATION:                

Sunset Park High School

153 35th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:          

Current NYCDOE licensed and appointed New York City Department of Education teacher                                                                                                                                                

SELECTION CRITERIA: 

•              Program management experience for at least 2 years

•              Prior experience in operations and logistical support preferred

•              Prior experience with LEAP Summer Intensive preferred

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:            

•              Manage and oversee all logistical and operational aspects of LEAP Summer Intensive 2018

•              Manage day-to-day orderly operations of the summer intensive program

•              Support all faculty members

•              Prepare all materials and set up classrooms for summer program

•              Manage, supervise and provide support for LEAP summer staff (interns and technology teacher staff)

•              Maintain inventory of all books, technology equipment, classroom supplies and materials

•              Ensure all logistics, materials, and activities are prepared for each classroom on a daily basis

•              Ensure that intern and technology teacher payroll is processed accurately and on time

•              Ensure that all summer participants’ payroll is processed accurately and on time

•              Participate and attend weekly meetings with director and faculty

•              Communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationship s with Program Manager, LEAP Summer Staff, LEAP Faculty and Sunset Park High School Staff

 

WORK SCHEDULE:   

July 1st – August 12th (summer schedule can vary). Typical schedule: 8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Monday,-Friday with additional hours as needed. – up to a maximum of 160 hours.

 

SALARY:                     

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement).  Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
