POSITION:

Early Childhood Instructional Coordinator – New Teacher Week Facilitation (up to approximately 50 positions)

LOCATION:

Various locations

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Must be employed by the Division of Early Childhood Education as an Instructional Coordinator during the 2019-2020 school year.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Currently employed by the Division of Early Childhood Education as an Instructional Coordinator
  • NYS licensed teacher
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in early childhood education (birth to grade three) curriculum and assessment models.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Fluency in the use of various DOE computer systems

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Depending on the needs of the position, duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate one or more 3-hour New Teacher Week sessions for new teachers supporting infants, toddlers, 3s, and 4s.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Schedule will be determined by need.

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
