Early Childhood Instructional Coordinator – New Teacher Week Facilitation (up to approximately 50 positions)
Must be employed by the Division of Early Childhood Education as an Instructional Coordinator during the 2019-2020 school year.
- Currently employed by the Division of Early Childhood Education as an Instructional Coordinator
- NYS licensed teacher
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in early childhood education (birth to grade three) curriculum and assessment models.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
- Fluency in the use of various DOE computer systems
Depending on the needs of the position, duties may include but are not limited to:
- Facilitate one or more 3-hour New Teacher Week sessions for new teachers supporting infants, toddlers, 3s, and 4s.
Schedule will be determined by need.
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent Upon Funding Availability.

NOTE: Service exceeding the number of hours specified in Chancellor’s Regulation C-175 governing per session activities requires prior approval. The appropriate Per Session Supervisor must make the request via the Per Session Service System and receive approval before the person can begin working in the activity. Failure to obtain a valid waiver may result in the withholding of payment for hours worked beyond the maximum.
