POSITION:                 

Middle School Social Workers

CTE Pathways

~40 Positions available

 

LOCATION:                

Various Locations

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:          

New York State Licensed and NYCDOE Appointed NYCDOE Social Worker                                                                                                                                                

SELECTION CRITERIA: 

Minimum 1 year of satisfactory experience in college and career counseling

Knowledge of high school graduation requirements

Knowledge of state and city academic policy pertaining to high schools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:            

Inform and recruit students in middle school students to participate in CTE HS Fair on October 19, 2019

Attend and accompany at least 10 middle school students to the fair on Oct 19, 2019

Coordinate CTE promoting activities at your school

Attend professional development sessions on various CTE -focused topics

Chaperone students to various meetings after school and/or weekends

Submit data as requested by the central office

Complete related duties as needed

 

WORK SCHEDULE:   

September 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020

Middle School Social Workers will work a maximum of 20 hours depending on funding availability and program needs. Additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager. 

 

SALARY:                     

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement).  Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
