Middle School Paraprofessional to participate in Middle School Arts Audition Boot Camp
Approximately 2 positions
Planning at NYCDOE location – 52 Chambers Street, Manhattan, NY 10007 and/or Lincoln Center Education
Student auditions located and Julia Richman Education Complex – 317 East 67 Street, Manhattan, NY 10065
Summer program at Lincoln Center Education – 165 West 65 Street, Manhattan, NY 10023
Currently employed in the NYCDOE as a licensed Paraprofessional. .
Satisfactory record of attendance and punctuality
Demonstrated ability to work with NYCDOE faculty, teaching artists, staff, parents and students
Other criteria that the Office of Arts & special Projects may require in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Must participate in collaborative planning session; provide ongoing feedback to support program development
Support instruction, studio activities and field trips
Work one-on-one with students as needed or required
Build relationships with families
Communicate with program director/site supervisors regarding site and student concerns
Enthusiasm for program goals and working with families.
May 2020 audition dates (Saturday – Sunday): Hours up to but not limited to 14 hours
August, 2020 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM) : Up to but not limited to approximately 6 hours per day for 10 days of camp
Additional evening hours and weekend hours may be scheduled leading up to and following the program
Up to approximately 95 hours per position. Additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager
Per Session rates as per the UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement. Contingent Upon Funding Availability. (UFT or relevantUnion/Organization).
