Professional Development for New Teachers
Multiple Locations - City wide
1st year NYCDOE licensed and appointed teachers identified for mentoring
Identified as a new teacher and assigned a mentor
• Attend sessions to learn new content and plan for productive mentoring sessions
• Meet with assigned mentor at least 2 times per week to implement new learning
• Plan productive mentoring sessions
• Actively collaborate with other mentor-new teacher teams
From August 30th 2019 to June 30th 2020. Sessions vary. Time varies, typically from 3:30pm to 8:00pm weekly
Up to a maximum of 20 hours per position (not guaranteed)
ADDITIONAL HOURS GRANTED UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE HIRING MANAGER.
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (UFT, CSA, DC-37 - Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent Upon Funding Availability.
