Possession of a New York City Department of Education Supervisor license as a Senior Pupil Personnel Supportive Services Career/Technical Education – Instruction specialist
We the People: Bill of Rights and The Constitution, is a comprehensive study of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. Candidates should have in-depth knowledge and delivery of instruction using the US Constitution:, ability to communicate effectively; ability to facilitate group activities; experience working with high school and middle school students in a non-school setting; demonstrated ability administer grants to support program activities; must have experience facilitating teacher professional development sessions; must have experience facilitating ELL and special ed civic workshops; must have experience with the We The People program.
Responsible for facilitating professional development workshops that are scheduled for teachers on Saturdays and after school. Must disseminate all textbooks and materials, monitor budgets, must assist with the plans for school implementation of the oral debate hearing; write grants related to activities to sustain the program after the grant, facilitate the recruitment of speakers –judges lawyers, and law professors. Attend weekend national Seed administrator meetings. Must also work with JMLP Mentors.
September 2018 - June 2019: Approximately 75 hours
