One Supervisor (Approx. 50 hours)
US Federal Courthouse/Thurgood Marshall Building, New York City
Possession of a New York City Department of Education Supervisor license as Senior Pupil Personnel Supportive Services Career/Technical Education – Instruction specialist
Must have experience with the We the People program, a comprehensive study of the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. Must have experience supervising high school and middle social studies teachers teaching either American History, PIG, government, law or other related classes. Must have experience with ELL instruction. Must have an understanding of how to implement instructional materials and lessons from scholar sessions; must be willing to attend all planning sessions; must be willing to oversee all aspects of the program including reports, grants, facilitating scholars for each session; must have experience with the Mock Congressional hearing Must have experience with teacher surveys/evaluations and federal grant budgets.
Responsible for attending, facilitating scholars and teachers in the required professional development sessions; must agree to participate in follow-up meetings, budget reports and to develop materials for teachers to use in We The People: Bill of Rights and the Constitution classrooms.
July 2, - August 15, 2018 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturdays

The appropriate Per Session Supervisor must make the request via the Per Session Service System and receive approval before the person can begin working in the activity. Failure to obtain a valid waiver may result in the withholding of payment for hours worked beyond the maximum.
