(CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING)

POSITION:            

CTE Industry Scholars Program Summer Monitor

 

LOCATION:          

131 Livingston Street, Brooklyn NY, 11201 and other Locations throughout the five boroughs as required.

 

ELIGIBILITY:          

New York City Department of Education CTE-Licensed Teacher and/or WBL coordinator certificate

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Knowledge of NYS Labor Laws for minors
  • Knowledge of Core Content CDOS Standards and SCANS Skills for Work-Based Learning
  • Knowledge of DOE policies and procedures
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Work-Based Learning Programs
  • Familiarity with CTE High School programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Willing to accept assignments and travel to work sites throughout the city
  • Willing and able to use personal computer for daily reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to provide instructional assistance to students, parents, and community representatives

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assigned to one Work Based Learning Industry Cluster
  • Conduct Internship site visits in ALL five boroughs.
  • Process Student Time Sheets for Payroll bi-weekly
  • Counsel students regarding job related activities as needed during site visits
  • Document and Share Site visit reports in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate with the WBLRC via a personal computer and personal email account on a daily basis

 

SALARY:                

As per Collective Bargaining Agreement

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

July 5, 2018 – August 24, 2018 (Teachers will work between 75-150 hours each depending upon funding availability and program needs)
