POSITION:
Per Session Teacher – Exploring Sustainability and Green Careers Pilot – Focus Group
Approximately Ten (10) Positions Available
LOCATION:
- Office of Student Pathways: (110 William Street, 15th Floor; NY, NY 10038)
- Offsite locations (as scheduled – location(s) to be determined)
- Remote (as scheduled)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- New York City Department of Education appointed and licensed teachers
- Teacher in an Exploring Sustainability and Green Careers Pilot-participating school who is teaching that course during spring 2024 semester
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- At least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective/Effective) experience within the NYCDOE
- Satisfactory written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in successful project management.
- Teaching the Exploring Sustainability and Green Careers pilot course,
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend focus group working sessions to regularly assess pilot curricula.
- Participate in collection and analysis of data connected to pilot curricula
- Implement, and report back to focus group on the results of, curricular improvements.
- Plan and co-facilitate pre-determined focus group sessions on rotating basis
WORK SCHEDULE:
1/17/24 through 6/30/24
- 1/17/24: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (in person – location to be determined)
- 1/18/24: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Remote
- Additional dates, times, and locations to be shared after participating schools are determined.
65 Hours:
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
