NYC Public Schools Speak Your Language!

"hello" in all 9 DOE languages

Parents have the right to receive information or communicate with a staff member at their school or Department of Education (DOE) office in their language.

About Google Translate

The Department of Education’s website can be translated by selecting your language on the top part of any of the DOE’s public pages. This feature has been enabled for your convenience using translation software powered by Google Translate. Reasonable efforts have been made to provide an accurate translation, however, no automated translation is perfect nor is it intended to replace human translators.

Translations are provided as a service to users of the DOE’s website, and are provided "as is." No warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, is made as to the accuracy, reliability, or correctness of any translations made from English into any other language. Some content (such as images, videos, Flash, etc.) may not be accurately translated due to the limitations of the translation software.

I Speak Card

You may also download and print the Parent's Guide to Language Access, which includes an I Speak card which is linked in all languages, below. Bring it with you when you visit your child’s school or DOE office to request assistance in your language.
