TITLE: SUPERVISOR

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

LICENSED AND APPOINTED NYCOE EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATOR OR ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Familiarity with District 29’s implantation of the HMH ELA curriculum; Demonstrated ability to analyzed student work using standards based rubrics; Ability to supervise and lead teacher teams of 10 or more teachers;  Ability to disaggregate data and to present data to a variety of audiences including families.;  Have at least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective/Effective) experience within the NYCDOE.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create Standards based rubrics for ELA tasks; Analyze student work to determine gaps in student learning; Disaggregate data to identify trends within subgroups of students; supervise teams of teachers and build teacher capacity to analyze student work to make instructional decisions to support all learners.

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

30 hours on Monday through Thursday  as needed after school. May include some Saturdays as needed.

 

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

 

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
