Election Day is Here: Make Your Voice Heard
After months of anticipation, Election Day is finally here!
If you are a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, a New York City resident, and are registered to vote, NOW is the time to head to your designated polling site and cast your vote in this year's elections!
Participating in this year's elections lets you choose the people who will represent you in government while also giving you a say regarding policies that can affect your community. Many of your fellow New Yorkers have already made their voices heard during the 10-day Early Election period that ended on November 3—now it's your turn!
This Election Day, voters will be able to participate in a number of federal and state-based races, including Congressional, U.S. Senate, State legislative, and U.S Presidential races. Also of interest to NYC voters in particular are six ballot proposals that could make changes to both the New York State Constitution as well as the New York City Charter.
To find your Election Day polling site, visit the Board of Elections' "Find My Poll Site" webpage—polls throughout the City will be open from 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Want to learn more about this year's candidates and ballot proposals? Check out the NYC Votes' website and head on over to your designated polling site to register your vote!
On behalf of NYC Public Schools, we wish all New Yorkers a smooth and safe Election Day!
