Amy Fair is an activist at heart who is dedicated to creating lasting, positive change in urban communities. A proud Bronx native, she holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Organizational Behavior and Communications and a Master of Science in Professional Writing from New York University. Amy currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects at NYU Steinhardt, where she leads strategic planning, operational excellence initiatives, and cross-functional projects that advance the School's mission. She partners closely with senior leadership to strengthen administrative operations, organizational effectiveness, and institutional priorities. A passionate advocate for public education and civic engagement, Amy previously served as both a parent member and Bronx Borough President appointee to Community Education Council (CEC) 11, where she also chaired the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She also currently serves as a member of the District 11 Neighborhood Advisory Board.
