Anthony Giordano

Anthony “Tony” Giordano, mayoral appointee to the Panel on Educational Policy is a financial services professional with more than 25 years' experience working with Wall Street firms such as Credit Suisse and Instinet. In 2014, Mr. Giordano launched his own consultancy, providing advisory services to pension funds, asset advisors, broker-dealers and law firms.

Mr. Giordano has previous experience serving the educational community as he was elected to two consecutive terms as the student member of the City University of New York (CUNY) Board of Trustees and led the resurgence of the CUNY Student Senate. Giordano, a proud alum, attended Brooklyn College on an academic scholarship. Giordano still advocates for CUNY and the right for all New Yorkers to quality affordable higher education.

Mr. Giordano is a resident of Manhattan but credits his ability to work with others to growing up as a Dominican Italian American in Sunset Park and Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Giordano’s family, still active in Sunset Park, have always emphasized personal investment in the community and in education. Mr. Giordano is a proud father of two beautiful daughters, both scheduled to graduate from prominent universities in 2024, and is married to NYC immigration attorney, Aizhan Yerezhepova.

"Our family is honored to serve this Mayor, this Chancellor and all the public school families of New York City." - Tony Giordano
