Free Summer Meals for NYC Kids Until August 30
Even after the 2023–2024 school year ends, anyone 18 years old or younger can still enjoy free breakfast and lunch throughout the summer, starting Thursday, June 27, 2024.
New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) Free Summer Meals program is available at over 300 community meal sites such as designated public schools, community pool centers, parks, and libraries across the five boroughs. Sites are open Monday through Friday, 8AM–1:15PM, with breakfast served at 8AM–9:15AM and lunch at 11AM–1:15PM. You don't need to sign up, show any papers, or have an ID to get these meals—you can just go to one of our many meal locations and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Please note that all locations, dates, and times are subject to change.
Meal options also include vegetarian food, which is available at all sites, while halal options are available at select locations. In addition, there is food truck service in Manhattan and Brooklyn, available seven days a week, from 10AM–4PM on weekdays, and 10AM–3PM on weekends.
