The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

This year, the New York Public Library (NYPL) will be joining our nation in celebration of its 250th birthday by asking NYC teens, 13–18 years old, to share their stories about life in America today. NYPL's "We the Future: Teen Voices on America's 250th" contest is looking for original American stories—the story can be your tale, your family's story, your community's story, or even the story of a cause bigger than yourself!

Students who wish to participate are invited to submit written work of no more than 1,000 words, or artwork like a painting, drawling/illustration, photography, or sculpture, for the chance to win $500 and be published in a special edition of NYPL's Teen Voices magazine. Twenty runner-up winners will each receive a $250 gift card while also getting their submissions published in NYPL Teen Voices.

Visit NYPL's We the Future webpage to learn more, and send your submission by Sunday, March 8, 2026!
