Deeply committed to civic engagement, Yadira currently serves as a panelist on the Panel for Educational Policy, volunteers with the Child Care Advisory Board, serves on the PS 51 PTA, and is President of her building’s tenant association. Above all, she is a proud mother to a young boy, which she considers her greatest accomplishment and the driving force behind her advocacy for families and communities. She also brings lived experience navigating the NYC 3K/Pre-K admissions process and the IEP process for a preschool student, strengthening her commitment to equitable access to education and services.
