Congratulations to the Winners of the Plastic Free Lunch Day Artwork Contest!
Every three weeks, the NYCPS Office of Energy and Sustainability, in partnership with Cafeteria Culture and the Office of Food and Nutrition Services hosts Plastic Free Lunch Day! These days help us reduce plastic packaging and utensils in our school cafeterias—a huge step towards reducing waste and taking climate action.
To help spread awareness about the importance of participating in Plastic Free Lunch Day, students in Kindergarten through grade 8 submitted designs to our Plastic Free Lunch Day Artwork Contest that illustrate the ways that schools can reduce single-use plastic during lunchtime.
We're proud to share the winning artwork from our talented student artists. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all the students who entered for your commitment to sustainability in our schools!
