    In this installment of the Hidden Voices series, we're sharing the story of Amelia Opdyke Jones, the freelance advertising artist who used the penname “Oppy,” was the principal designer and creative spirit behind the Subway Sun poster series. For twenty years, beginning in 1946, Oppy’s signature cartoon figures and comic captions appeared throughout New York City’s public transportation systems.
